Change scenes, pictures and timing

Swap a picture, redo one scene, or trim a clip — without starting over.

Don't love one part? Change just that scene — the rest of your video stays exactly as it is.

  1. 1.Tap the scene you want to change on the timeline
  2. 2.Describe the new picture in “Visual prompt”
  3. 3.Tap Regenerate — only that scene is remade

Find your way around the editor

Open any finished video and you're in the editor. Your video is at the top, the timeline (a row of coloured blocks, one per scene) is under it, and the tabs below that change what you're editing: Video, Text, Captions, Audio, Music and Settings.

Change a scene's picture

  1. Tap the scene on the timeline.
  2. On the Video tab, rewrite the Visual prompt — describe what you want to see. Improve can polish your wording for you.
  3. Tap Regenerate. Only that scene is remade, and it costs only that scene's credits.

Other things you can do to a scene

  • Use your own clip — choose Use my footage (free) and pick a video from your library.
  • Change the movement on a still picture — Zoom in, Pan left and so on (free).
  • Trim a clip by dragging the edges of its block on the timeline.
  • Reorder scenes by dragging their blocks; tap Add scene to add one.
  • Delete a scene with Delete scene.

Add words on screen

The Text tab adds titles, links or big numbers in Instagram-style fonts. Tap Text or Link, type, then drag it into place on the preview.

See a little amber dot on a scene? That means you've changed something that hasn't been remade yet — tap Regenerate to apply it.
