A short drama: at her engagement party, a woman gets an anonymous photo of her fiancé kissing her maid of honour. She takes the microphone for her toast and plays the photo on the big screen. Gasps, a dropped glass, and a twist: the text came from his own mother. End on a cliffhanger for part 2.
Use this idea →The CEO she insulted

Use this idea →The king's lost daughter
A Nollywood-style village drama: a humble palm-wine seller is mocked in the market by the chief's proud wife. That night an old servant brings her a royal bead necklace and tells her she is the king's lost daughter, hidden as a baby. End on 'And the chief's wife was the one who hid her.'

Use this idea →How to make a short drama with Slice
- Write the drama in a few sentences. Who she is, what she finds out, and the twist. "At her engagement party she plays the photo of her fiancé and her best friend on the big screen" is enough.
- Create your main characters. Add them once under Characters so they look the same in every scene and every episode.
- Pick a style. Cinematic or Photorealistic for live-action drama, 3D animation for a cartoon soap.
- Tap Generate. Slice writes the episode, generates the scenes and adds narration, captions and music.
- End on a cliffhanger and make part 2 — see making a series.
Tips for drama people binge
- Start at the worst moment. The slap, the text, the reveal — then explain how we got here.
- Big, simple roles. The betrayed bride, the cold billionaire, the cruel mother-in-law. Viewers should pick a side in seconds.
- One twist per episode. And save the biggest one for the last line.
- Let them talk. With any credit pack, choose The characters under Who speaks and they say their lines on camera.
Questions
Can Slice make short drama series like on TikTok?
Yes. Describe the drama — who, what happened, and the twist — and Slice writes the episode, generates cinematic scenes and adds narration, captions and music. Number the episodes and each one picks up where the last left off.
Will my characters look the same in every episode?
Create each main character once under Characters and Slice keeps them looking the same across scenes and episodes.
Can the characters talk to each other?
Yes. Under Who speaks, choose The characters and they speak their lines on camera in their own voices, lips synced on animated videos. Talking characters come with any credit pack; the free trial uses a narrator.
Can I make a Nollywood or African drama?
Yes. Say where it's set and who the characters are — a Lagos family, a village chief, a royal court — and Slice casts the scenes and voices to match.
How long can an episode be?
Up to 2 minutes. The free trial makes videos up to 15 seconds; most drama episodes work best at 45–90 seconds with a cliffhanger at the end.
