The Mary Celeste: The Ship Found With No Crew
28 October 2026 · 31 seconds
Transcript
December 1872. A ship is spotted drifting in the Atlantic, sails set, no crew in sight.
The Mary Celeste. Food still warm on the table, cargo intact, but every soul has vanished.
The only clue: the ship's single lifeboat is missing, cut loose in a hurry.
Theory one: pirates. But nothing was stolen.
Theory two: explosion fear. The alcohol cargo leaked, the captain panicked and abandoned ship.
But the Mary Celeste stayed afloat for weeks. What really happened to the crew?
