Characters who look the same every time

Create a person once and they appear the same in every video.

A character is a person you create once — a host, a mascot, you as a cartoon — who then looks the same in every scene of every video.

  1. 1.Give your character a name
  2. 2.Describe how they look
  3. 3.Tap Generate character
  4. 4.Tap the look you like best

Create a character

  1. Open Characters from the menu and tap Create a character.
  2. Give them a Name.
  3. Either describe them in words, or upload a photo of a real person — only with their permission. With a photo you can also make a stylized version (Pixar, anime and more).
  4. Choose a style and how many options you'd like, then tap Generate character.
  5. Tap the option you like — that becomes their locked look.

Give them a voice (optional)

Pick one of the ready-made voices, or clone a real voice: tap Record now and read the short script aloud for about 20 seconds, or upload a clear recording. Only clone voices of people who've said yes.

Put them in a video

  • On the new-video page, choose them under Feature a character.
  • Or in the editor, pick them for a single scene under Character.

Making a series? Use the same name in each episode's idea — Slice keeps using the same character, so your hero looks the same from episode to episode. More in making a series.
