Talking characters
Let your characters speak on camera in their own voices.
Instead of a narrator telling the story, your characters can talk to each other on camera — each with their own face and voice, with their lips moving to the words.
How to turn it on
- Start a new video and type your idea — for example “two friends argue about pineapple on pizza”.
- Under Who speaks, choose The characters.
- Keep Animated video selected — lip-sync needs moving scenes.
- Tap Generate video. Slice writes the lines, creates each speaker and gives them a voice.
Good to know
- Talking characters are part of any credit pack. On the free trial the option shows 🔒 Any credit pack.
- They use more credits than a narrated video — the length picker shows the estimate before you start.
- Want a character you've already made to speak? Give them a voice on their character page first.
Tip: Name the people in your idea (“Maya and her grandad”) — Slice keeps the same names on screen and in the voices.
